Friends Jim and Nadine from Massachusetts flew into town to accompany us on a Sierra Nevada adventure. Key items on the docket were to bag a big Sierra peak and to visit some of the waterfalls in Yosemite NP.

Friday night they arrived at our house and we got caught up while we had a couple beers.

Saturday morning we finished packing and headed off for Yosemite's Tioga Pass area to get in a high altitude hike to start the acclimatization process. Since both our residences are near sea level, we were starting on the same page on that front. We arrived at Tioga Pass a little late to attempt Mount Dana, so we hiked up to Gaylor Peak instead.
