Woodworking, Gymnastics, you-pick-em berries

After yesterday’s big day I couldn’t get anyone (except Jordan, of course, who doesn’t have any intermediate speeds) interested in going climbing or something today – so we mostly stuck around home.

After breakfast, we went out in the garage for a good workout, lifting weights and so forth. After that, Jordan and I did a little project to go in the camper. This involved measuring, setting up to make cuts with the circular saw, sanding, staining and finishing the piece of wood.

After Jordan watched a movie we got busy cooking – Dena and Jordan helped make a batch of The Amazing Soup and then Dena and I made red curry chicken with ginger and coconut milk. I think Dena liked it, but it was “right at her tolerance for spicy”. No report from Jordan as he was sulking and didn’t have dinner with us.

Later in the evening we went blackberry picking at the county park again. This time we had a gallon bucket, which is 80% full. Dena is making something out of blackberries tomorrow.

Somewhere in here Jordan was doing backflips on the gym rings, then Carol did it and obviously I was getting peer pressured into trying it too. I had visions of my arms being pulled out of their  sockets as I came over the top. Since I’m typing this afterward, that obviously didn’t happen. What did happen was that both Carol and I got good head rushes from flipping over upside down…
